What is The Halo?
The Halo is a hybrid fractional laser which provides a comprehensive laser treatment to the patient while minimizing the downtime that they have after the procedure is complete. The Halo is a laser treatment that will take time so that the technology works and provides results over time with minimal downtime after each procedure. The Halo treatments provide a combination of dermal rejuvenation with epidermal renewal for a noticeably deep glow and longer lasting results.
What Various Types of Conditions Will The Halo Help Treat?
The Halo‘s fractional laser treatment will help treat a variety of various conditions. Some of the most common conditions that The Halo treatments are used to treat include:
- Discoloration of the skin
- Visible signs of aging
- Enlarged Pores
- Fine Lines* (only with full-face resurfacing)
- Sun Damage
- Uneven skin tone treatments
- Poor textures
- Scar revision* (only with full face resurfacing)
How Many Halo Laser Treatments Do I Need?
It depends on how many Halo laser treatments you wish to have. You choose how many treatments you want based on the results you desire. Talk to your clinicians about the results you hope to achieve and they can determine how many treatments will accomplish the results you are looking for. If you get more aggressive treatments you will need less treatments than if you choose less aggressive treatments. However, with less aggressive treatments, you will receive the same results they will just take longer obtain.
How Much Down Time Will I Have After Treatment?
Usually, treatments will require you to have a 24-hour period of time where your skin should be covered to be protected. However, after that you will be able to go out and do normal activities that you do every other day. Makeup is safe 24 hours after your procedure. Skin may peel after the 24 hour period when the procedure is completed, however, that is completely normal and a whole new layer of skin will be revealed underneath that is healthy and ready to shine.

What Kind Of Laser Is Halo?
You may have wondered about skin resurfacing with lasers. There are ablative and non-ablative treatments. Both produce excellent results, but what’s the difference?
Ablative laser treatments are a bit more invasive and used for deeper wrinkles and more severe issues, and actually “vaporizes” the damaged skin, removing the top layer. The results can be stunning. Most of the time only one treatment is needed for the whole face. This requires some period of recovery and attention to after-care.
Non-Ablative laser results are not as dramatic and require more sessions to produce the desired improvement in finer lines and shallow wrinkles. Skin is not “wounded” and will shed off naturally. There is virtually no “down time”, and you can leave the office after treatment and meet your friends for cocktails.
The Halo laser gives you the benefits of an ablative procedure with the reduced downtime of a non-ablative.
The beauty of the new Halo laser is that it is a true hybrid; we can deliver both ablative and non-ablative treatments at the same time! The unique handpiece is versatile, adjustable in intensity and gives the clinician the ability to fine-tune treatment to the individual patient’s needs.
It measures the temperature of the skin to make sure you are comfortable throughout the procedure.
