Katharine Saussy, MD
Meet Dr. Katharine Saussy, an accomplished dermatologist and a proud native of New Orleans. Dr. Saussy is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s Dermatologic Society, with expertise in medical, pediatric, surgical, cosmetic, and skincare. Her strong passion for sun safety is reflected in her practice, where she provides exceptional care to patients of all ages.
But her love for her community goes beyond the clinic. Dr. Saussy volunteers by educating her community on sun safety through a program called School Sun Safe. She volunteers with Mary Bird Perkins providing free skin cancer screenings throughout Louisiana. She serves as the Auction Co-Chair for the American Cancer Society’s Annual Event, Shuck Cancer, which provides free transportation to those undergoing cancer treatment.
When she’s not working, Dr. Saussy loves to spend time with her fur babies, Habibi and Tabouli, both English Cream Golden Retrievers. She grew up spending her summers in the mountains, with a passion for whitewater kayaking, at Camp Green Cover in Tuxedo, North Carolina.
Dr. Saussy loves to travel, is an avid game night partner (her favorite card game is Spades), has a refined palate for sushi, wine, and Creole Creamery ice cream (has had the same order for the past 10+ years), and an undying love for the hit medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy. She is happily married to her husband, Jed Antoun and they currently live in Lakeview.
