Patrick Evans, PA-C

Patrick Evans is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. He earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, graduating in December 2018. Prior to that, He completed his Master of Divinity in Theology in May 2007 and his Bachelor of Arts in Religion in May 2003, both from Baylor University in Waco, TX.  Prior to entering the medical field, he spent a brief time working in the music industry and also worked for a number of years in cognitive neuroscience research at the University of Texas at Dallas. 

Patrick has extensive clinical experience in dermatology and has also completed the Diplomate Fellowship program of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.  He is especially passionate about medical dermatology.  Having struggled with severe acne as a teenager, he understands not only the physical but the emotional toll dermatologic conditions can have on a patient. It is this empathy that made him choose to enter the field of dermatology.

His dermatology expertise includes managing complex conditions such as severe atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea, and hidradenitis suppurativa.  He stays up to date on the newest medications for these chronic conditions so that he can offer the best treatment possible for his patients.  He is also especially passionate about finding and treating skin cancers.  He performs various dermatologic procedures, including punch and shave biopsies, cryotherapy, and electrocautery, among others.

Before he transitioned to dermatology, Patrick worked in internal medicine in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  His experience working in primary care gives him a unique perspective and allows him to consider how your dermatologic conditions, and their treatment, could affect your other chronic medical conditions.

In his free time, Patrick enjoys trying new restaurants, reading, playing his bass guitar, going to concerts, and spending time outdoors.  Patrick is moving to the Austin area from Houston and is excited to explore his new surroundings and get to know his new patients.
