Restylane® Refyne is a newer addition to the Restylane® family that can effectively reverse the effects of facial aging around the mouth and chin. This innovative dermal filler is FDA-approved for patients at least 21 years of age and can improve the appearance of nasolabial folds (“smile lines”) and “marionette lines” (folds on either side of the chin). Thanks to this filler’s XpresHAn Technology™, Restylane® Refyne can offer volume restoration that supports the patient’s natural expressions and facial movements.
Benefits of Restylane® Refyne
For patients with moderate-to-severe facial folds and wrinkles around the chin and mouth, Restylane® Refyne can provide natural-looking facial rejuvenation. By restoring lost volume, this filler can combat sagging skin, minimizing the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Restylane® Refyne is composed of a hyaluronic acid-based gel with unique cross-linking that provides both flexibility and support. While Restylane® Defyne offers maximum support for deeper lines with some flexibility, Restylane® Refyne can provide effective support with added flexibility and suppleness. The filler can be combined with another cosmetic injectable should you want to treat other facial areas as well

Recovery from Restylane® Refyne
There is minimal downtime typically associated with the Restylane® Refyne procedure, if any at all. However, some patients may experience minor swelling or bruising at the area of treatment. These side effects typically fade quickly, should they occur. Patients can see the outcome of Restylane® Refyne immediately, and the results can last up to 12 months or longer. Patients often schedule follow-up treatment sessions to maintain their youthful results.
