Do I Have Rosacea?

June 23rd, 2025 | By: Admin

Rosacea is a persistent condition that is typically characterized by reddened facial skin (erythema). In most cases, the tiny blood vessels found in the nose or the cheeks are visible, may appear broken (telangiectasia), and may be accompanied by small red bumps that appear similar to acne. These areas of the skin may be tender or warm to the touch. In rare cases, the skin of the nose can even thicken, causing a bulbous appearance (rhinophyma).

However, the symptoms of rosacea are not confined to the facial skin alone. Many patients who suffer from rosacea also experience dryness, redness, or irritation of the eyes. In some cases, rosacea may spread from the eyes to the eyelids as well, causing them to become red and swollen (ocular rosacea).

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms and believe that you may be affected by rosacea, please contact us and schedule a consultation with one of our experienced dermatologists today. At Sanova Dermatology, we can offer our patients a number of effective treatment options that may reduce or eliminate these symptoms.
