Dr. Laura Williams, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist serving Metairie and the greater New Orleans area. She specializes in comprehensive medical dermatology for patients of all ages, including treatment of psoriasis, eczema, acne, rashes, and complex or less common skin conditions. Dr. Williams also provides skin cancer screenings, mole evaluations, and personalized dermatologic care tailored to each patient’s needs.
A New Orleans native, Dr. Williams earned her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and returned home to complete her medical degree and dermatology residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She also completed a dermatology clinical research fellowship at Louisiana State University, Shreveport. Prior to joining Sanova Dermatology, Dr. Williams practiced at Tulane University Medical School, St. Thomas Community Health Center, and in busy private practice settings, gaining extensive experience in both general and complex dermatology cases.
Dr. Williams is passionate about partnering with her patients to create individualized treatment plans that improve skin health and quality of life. She is known for her compassionate approach, dedication to patient education, and ability to deliver evidence-based, long-lasting results.
