Daniel A. Carrasco, MD is a board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Sanova Dermatology in Austin and Dripping Springs, TX. He specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, including skin cancer detection and treatment, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic procedures.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Dr. Carrasco graduated with honors in biology from St. Mary’s University and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed a fellowship in dermatopharmacology at the University of Texas Medical Branch and a fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, where he also completed his dermatology residency. During training, he participated in over 50 clinical trials, published 25+ scientific papers, and served as Chief Resident
Dr. Carrasco practiced in Houston before making Austin his home in 2008. He is passionate about providing personalized care for patients of all ages and skin types, focusing on healthy, vibrant skin.
Outside the office, he enjoys time with his wife and daughter, hunting, horseback riding, polo, photography, traveling, and boating.
