Sick of the smoker lines? Ready to kick those kissing creases to the curb?
The Federal Drug Administration int he U.S. has now approved a new dermal filler for the treatment of thin lips and wrinkles around the mouth. “Juvederm Volbella® XC was designed to ‘perfect the pout’ by softening fine lines around the mouth and plumping the lips,” says Dr. Miriam Hanson, a board certified Dermatologist and cosmetic specialist at Sanova Dermatology in Austin, Texas.
Allergan, the company the brought you other dermal fillers including Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus and Juvederm Voluma, has now added a new member to its aesthetic family. “These established fillers restore volume lost in the cheeks, smile lines and nasolabial folds. Volbella was specifically created to smooth lines around the mouth, and plump and define lips” says Dr. Hanson.
During clinical studies of Juvederm Volbella® XC, more than half of patients noted that results from treatment lasted one year. Much of this is due to Allergan’s VYCROSS® technology, a patented technique for cross-linking the hyaluronic acid found in the filler, that assures a smooth and long-lasting product. “The creation of aesthetic products to meet specific needs of patients is yet another way to ensure that everyone is pleased with their results, and feels confident about their appearance.”
