Fillers For Under Eye Rejuvenation

June 23rd, 2025 | By: Admin

It’s morning time, and you are beginning your daily skin routine. This includes washing your face, applying moisturizer, and applying your sunscreen and skincare products. You may then start to notice a darkening in the area below your eyes. Dark circles and skin laxity (“bags”) are common changes that develop under the eyes for a number of different reasons. “Although commonly blamed, increasing age and lack of sleep or rest are only a few reasons why these appear,” says Dr. Miriam Hanson, a board-certified Dermatologist in Austin, Texas.  It is inevitable that some days you are going to look a bit more tired than others, but more hollowed facial features may be part of your genetics.

In these instances, surgery is not the only option. Restoring volume to the area can conceal bags, eliminate hollows and rejuvenate the eyes to a more youthful appearance. For this, dermal fillers can be used to help smooth out and plump the skin, and restore the skin turgor that has lessened over time.

“The elasticity of the tear troughs tend to give, making them more prominent and causing a larger shadow beneath the eye,” states Dr. Hanson. “This is why fillers make such an impact! Forget tired and run down. By simply restoring volume and fullness in this area, it can totally transform your look.”

It’s in the Eyes

This procedure gives a softer, more rested appearance, with minimal downtime. “In both women and men, we see many patients interested in simple ways to give a more youthful appearance,” says Dr. Hanson. There are other procedures that you can consider for this area, including Sublime skin tightening, Blepharoplasty, or a anti-aging skincare regimen. Speak to your  Dermatologist to design the plan-of-action that is best for your skin.
