How SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier can benefit your skin!

June 23rd, 2025 | By: Admin

Hyaluronic acid (H.A.) is also known as ‘hyaluronan’ – a clear and gooey substance that is naturally produced by the body for a variety of purposes. The largest concentrations of hyaluronic acid are found in the skin, eyes, and connective tissue. The main function of H.A. is water retention; when the skin is well-hydrated, it appears plump and smooth, hence the importance of this vital skincare ingredient.

SkinCeuticals Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier is a powerful corrective serum that can be a great benefit to your skin, either alone or as a complement to a dermal filler treatment. The serum helps to boost the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid by thirty percent. “This makes the skin appear firmer and younger-looking by helping to minimize fine lines, such as crow’s feet and marionette lines, and soften deeper wrinkles,” mentions Nikki Donovan, licensed medical aesthetician at Sanova Dermatology in Austin, Texas.

That said, the serum is not designed or intended to be used as a stand-alone moisturizer. “It’s recommended to blend four to six drops to the neck, forehead, chin, and cheeks once or twice daily,” shares Donovan. The serum can be used with a vitamin C antioxidant serum (such as CE Ferulic or Phloretin CF serums) if used in the mornings, and after a retinol product in the evenings.

A hyaluronic acid intensifier, such as the one offered by SkinCeuticals would also be a fantastic complement to a dermal filler treatment. Dermal fillers are typically made from hyaluronic acid, and the addition of an intensifying serum can, potentially, increase the longevity and effect of the product, resulting in smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin, which may last longer than the filler alone.
