Understanding Which Areas Can and Cannot be Treated With Radiesse

June 23rd, 2025 | By: Admin

Wrinkles are something that everyone eventually has to deal with. Some people don’t mind; but for others, wrinkles show an age that you simply don’t feel. Radiesse can be a great solution, but you first have to answer: which areas can and cannot be treated with Radiesse?

Radiesse

Radiesse is a type of filler used to eliminate the appearance of wrinkles. “It works by adding volume under the skin, plumping up and softening the wrinkle,” explains Dr. Miriam Hanson, board certified Dermatologist and cosmetic expert at in Austin, Texas. In addition, Radiesse helps to stimulate your own natural collagen. In other words, it will not only make your skin look better, but will keep your skin wrinkle free for much longer than other methods.

Where Can Radiesse Be Used?

This product is meant to be used in several locations. “You can benefit from Radiesse around your mouth to take care of smile lines, cheeks, marionette lines, corners of the mouth, chin wrinkles, and the pre-jowl fold on the sides of your chin,” says Dr. Hanson shares. However, this treatment is not recommended to be used near the eye area, because it can be too thick for the thin tissue around the eye.

Your hands, on the other hand, are another potential application spot. As we age, the tissue on the top of your hands can lose volume begin to show the veins and tendons, giving your hands an aged appearance. But with Radiesse, you can get your hands smoother and younger looking through increased volume.
