Micro-Needling is a newer technology that treats acne scars, sagging skin, pigmentation issues, and texture concerns. Localized irritation: Patients may feel a little sore after this treatment. This should subside after a few minutes to hours.
Redness and UV sensitivity: Because micro-needling induces collagen production, redness and slight inflammation can occur. This should only last 1-3 days. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for a week or so, and it is important to always apply sunscreen.
Dry skin: This skin tightening procedure may leave your skin feeling a bit drier. This can be relieved with a concentrated moisturizer or a hydrating serum recommended by your dermatologist or aesthetician.
Tenderness: Slight bruising and inflammation can cause the area to be tender to the touch. As with the appearance, this should subside within 24-72 hours.
