What is Exilis Elite?

Exilis delivers non-invasive, controlled radiofrequency energy that heats skin tissue to treat body fat and loose skin. It uses mono-polar radio waves, or sound waves, to penetrate deep under the skin. It boosts collagen, ultimately reducing wrinkles, tightening skin, and breaking down excess fat to help shape the body.

How Does Exilis Work?

During the procedure, the sound waves heat fat cells to the point that they break down. Over the weeks or months following treatment, patients will notice the fat slowly dissolve and the skin tighten. The radiofrequency energy causes collagen remodeling, which thickens the second layer of skin, helping plump fine lines and wrinkles. The energy also causes contraction of the deeper planes which leads to tightening of the skin, thus reducing skin folds and sagging.

Each Exilis treatment lasts just under an hour. A series of treatments is recommended in order to see the best results.

There should be no pain associated with the treatment, but you will feel a warming sensation as it targets your body. The applicator will offer a cooling sensation to the outer layer of your skin, which helps keep the patient comfortable during the treatment.

Patients can expect improvement in superficial and deep wrinkles and a minimizing of skin sagging and laxity. While the treatment is rather new, the results show that the results have lasted for the people who have undergone the treatments.

There is no downtime after undergoing Exilis body treatment. You may notice some pink or redness to your skin for the 30 minutes following treatment, but nothing that will be painful or require downtime.
